    And again I ask:

Which parishes, and which years are covered?
Where is the Catalogue/Card Index on FMP that I can consult to identify these?
The Knowledge Base has this SOME of this detail but poorly set out.
Resources for search should be instantly located by Country, County, City/Town/Parish, File e.g.Baptisms, Marriages, Burials, Wills etc and the years covered. Information at a glance and then one knows what is or IS NOT available.

    Hi Yvonne,

We’ve added the lists of parishes covered, along with the counts for each of these parishes. Sorry for the delay! We hope you enjoy searching the records.

    Thanks,

    Jess (findmypast.co.uk editor)

That’s interesting but the site seems to have shut down – I keep getting an error message even when I try to access the main site from this site’

Good to have the list of parishes, but without a list of dates covered for each parish this is quite useless. Could someone at Findmypast please try to have some understanding of how researchers work. We need to know what is covered by indexes and databases to know which parishes we still have to search by hand. Generally Findmypast is a better website than others available because there seems to be some understanding of archival practice. Please keep it up with the parish records.

Dear Sirs,I found the Burials & Marriages for Newbury very helpful & hope that you will be adding the baptisms soon. Hopefully these will add the names of parents which will help me trace the family back further. Are you intending to add the wills for people from various towns etc?
    Yours sincerely
