We have birth dates for him ranging from 1789 to 1804 from censuses & his death cert, but the whole family appears to have been illiterate and so it is difficult to know precisely when he was born. I have been searching for his birth place and parents for years now with no success, but keep trying periodically. Have you had any luck yet?
