Isn't it about time FMP produced a viewer that will work with current Mac software? After many years of Windows I have just become liberated to a Mac and am appalled that I am unable to view the census originals. The "fix" on the blog will not be tried owing to decreased efficiency and possible security problems.

FMP - please, please appreciate how many of us Mac users you have as subscribers now!

This isn't a great fix because when Safari is run in 32-bit mode all the performance and security benefits of 64-bit mode are lost.

I found this by doing a search in Google, and am hoping it will fix the problem, though I haven't tried it as yet. How much better if someone at Findmypast had directed me to this personally after my original email to you. The reply I got simply said you didn't know much about Macs, as you all had PCs. A totally inadequate customer service reply I thought. And when I fired off an, admittedly bad-tempered reply I heard nothing more.

Really this is not how to handle 'difficult' customers, as I admit I may have been.

Regards,
