1901 census - 2.1 million new records added

The findmypast.com 1901 census is expanding rapidly. Five complete counties have just been added to the site, providing over 2.1 million brand new records for you to search.

The new additions are:

• Bedfordshire
• Wiltshire
• Herefordshire
• Staffordshire
• Shropshire

We are now preparing another 5 counties for release shortly.

   Which 5 are you preparing and roughly when will they be available

   Hello Mike,

   Looks like there are actually 6 - all should be live within 2 weeks but possibly sooner if we can finish processing the remaining images faster.

   They are:

   • Cambridgeshire: 210,347 records
   • Essex: 1,110,444 records
   • Suffolk: 380,815 records
   • Norfolk: 490,577 records
   • Dorsetshire: 210,093 records
   • Cornwall: 335,558 records

     @ Steven: Cumberland should be by May at the latest. We have a lot of people working on 1901 and the data is coming through fast and at a good quality.
