Hi Iantester
More than happy with your answer. I wasn't suggesting that this was new but the old t&c said you would try to make contact first and this was what I noticed missing. I will now go and get carried away again without any worries.
Thanks

Hello Lin,

Yes, we will contact you before you get to the limit. The Fair Usage policy for subscribers was also in the previous version of the Terms and Conditions (since 2005), so it is not something new we have added recently.

I will post another blog post shortly to clarify how it works and what it is designed to do. What it is *not* designed to do is to penalise or hold back family historians who are using the site for their own research.

We're more than happy for you to get carried away, in fact we're delighted when you do, so please carry on using the site and do not worry about this.

fair use policy..there is no facility I can see where usage is recorded, and when I am tracking down family info I know I can get very carried away. How am I supposed to keep track of how many credits I am using? Will you let me know if I get near the limit before you take action about charging? I thought the T&C used to say I would be contacted first, now they don't.
